PERSONALIA
My full name is Maarten Vander Cruyssen, but that doesn't really roll of the tongue, so Martin is ok.
I'm an architect by trade, but from time to time the artist in me pops out.
This website is in English, but my first language is Dutch, as I'm from the tiny country of Belgium.

ART
I love drawing.
As a child I went to art school once a week. But I drew whenever I could.
Now, having a full-time job, acting as an adult, and AI taking over, I try my best to keep drawing.
I specialize in drawings made with pen and ink, pencil, fine-liner, or whatever else I find laying around,
and I mostly draw beautiful women, daily life, fantasy, science fiction, portraits, or anything else really.
ARCHITECTURE
In high school, I looked for something between science and art, both things I love, and thus ended up in architecture.
I got a master's degree in architecture, and have been working full-time now for over a decade at multiple excellent architecture firms.
I specialize in drawing building plans and building details, all in accordance with local building regulations, applying for building permits, calculating bills of quantities, writing building tenders, researching building materials, creating 3D models and visualizations, etc.
The firms I work for specialize in utility buildings like schools, offices, hospitals, but also residential buildings like private housing, etc.
I'm well-versed in all following software: nemetschek vectorworks, autodesk autocad, autodesk revit, epic unreal engine, trimble sketchup, adobe photoshop, canva affinity, microsoft word, microsoft excel, google docs, google sheets, geo-it lastenboeklink, sumaqua sirio,...
OTHER
I love good music, bopping my head to the beat, sweating profusely.
For drawing I'm mostly inspired by belle époque art, ukiyo-e art, fantastic art, and new media art.
I love learning about science, engineering, and history.
To chill I like watching thought-provoking films and playing challenging video games.
I also love my pets very much, and the outdoors, walking in nature.
